HOW THEY WORK

Your alarm panel has a built in dialer that communicates with the central station. Standard phone lines are the most common method for an alarm panel to communicate with the central station. Newer alarm panels often have GSM dialers built in as well as IP capabilities, as a backup, to communicate with the central station.

When an alarm is triggered, the control panel dials the central station. Station personnel first call your home to confirm an emergency, minimizing false alarms. If they cannot confirm the identity of the person answering the phone or if no contact is made, emergency services are notified and dispatched to your location.
